Selling my Sterling Nova

Mister X did someone purchase your Sterling? I am in SLC but would like to come and look at it if it is still available. I had a Sterling years ago and sold it. Always made me sad to part with it. So was looking around on the internet and believe I have found a video of my original Sterling which was now located in Oklahoma. I was surprised that it was still a survivor and thousands of miles away. So in looking I found this post of your vehicle. If available could I come look at it. With the weather as it is, I would probably need to fly in to see it. Let me know if it is still available? Thank you very much for your time.

I'll come pick it up.. I can't seem to PM you for some reason? Just give me a call or text so we can get in contact. I'll add it to the collection..

Hi,

Unfortunately, I need to sell my Sterling Nova (along with a box with parts, receipt for parts and stuff, books if I remember correctly) but I need some advice on how to get started.

I purchased it at the end of 2015, and it had a Nevada title. As I lived in a different state, I needed a VIN verification to register it. I did it but it was uncorrectly filled, so I had to get it done again. Unfortunately, I never took the time to do it because it meant putting it on a trailer again and driving to the dealership (and it was a time consuming task, and had to be done during business hours). It is in good shape (the engine that hasn't run since 2017, and I'm assuming gas has gone bad and should be replaced) under a cover, as it has been sitting in a friend's garage who'd now really would like to be able to use the space the car is occupying.

Now that I'm living abroad, getting the car registered in my name is an even bigger issue.

I know I'll have to provide a power of attorney, car specific with the car's VIN. It is to be done at the US embassy (and bears their notary's seal), and I have to ship the document to my friend, so they can title and sell the car for me. That's the easy part, I've done one before (I just need to call the DMV over there to know if they updated the document since last time I had this done). Registering it is really annoying as the DMV requires a VIN verification and proof of insurance. I have a few questions:
- Can dealership come to the house to do a VIN verification? Or anybody else who is allowed to do a VIN verification?
- How to handle the insurance requirement for the DMV (just titling the car)? I don't believe I'll be able to get it in my name as I'm not residing in the US anymore.
- Is there some kind of agent who could take care of all that process for a fee?

Or if anybody is interested to purchase it with the old Nevada title (I still need to do that power of attorney document regardless). I even have a trailer I could sell with it (which is registered in my name).
Is it still for sale. I live I. COLORADO SPRINGS

I always wanted a Sterling Nova. I had a chance to buy one but did not have the money for it. I have a way of picking up the car. I am mechanically inclined and fixed cars for a hobby. Just let me know. I live in Southern California. Would love to own one of these cars. They are so awesome!
I’m in Huntington Beach and have a Sterling you might be interested in. Contact me at tom.greeley@verizon.net
