You DO know your car is leaking - right?

So I drive the Sterling to work today (1/6/12) and park in my normal spot. With temps expected in the mid 40s I was pshyched to get some wheel time since it was in the 20's yesterday and in the teens the day before.

I get settled at my desk and a co-worker arrives and says, "You DO know that you car is leaking...a lot...right?" I ask which end is leaking and she tells me the front...and it's a lot of liquid. With only my battery, brake master and washer fluid in the front I get concerned that:

A. the battery exploded
B. The washer resevoir cracked from the previous days cold temps
C. Brake master resevoir is leaking

So I head back outside - and - yes - there is a large puddle under the car and a clear liquid is dripping from the bonnet area...through to the belly pan and on to the ground.

I pop the hood and all looks fine - then I see it...With rain earlier in the week and the frigid temps the day/night before - the pan that's between the windshield and the hood filled with water and froze - now with the warmer temps it was melting and leaking out of the drain hole - whew.

Note to all guys who's cars live outdoors....
