'91 Eagle SS - AutoShite -
This guy on Autoshite has big ideas and NO IDEA, already basically scrapped several cars to so far make, er, NOTHING.
Eagle SS (Ford based) MkIII with a reg and a good screen and needing an interior (usual anyway) and an engine, would have been a good project by our standards but no, he thinks it's ugly compared to what, a bloody BEETLE for gawds sake, whilst a Beetle has classic lines and I like them, even owed one, I would hardly call them good looking.
Then the Mazda, another car that only needed a bit of TLC and some seats, doomed and had he done his homework he would have known TEAK Ltd in the UK (deceased) tried it with a MR2 back in 2006.
A couple of VW Beetle bodies also in the mix that will have to be seriously chopped up to stand any chance of fitting the Eagle chassis or one like it.
Whilst the Eagle chassis follows the VW 'kipper' horizontally it is never going to fit vertically just look at the front bulkhead and the inner wings for a start and a chassis made for the ford Cortina, not exactly a performance set up.
He will still need a SVA IVA whatever test as there is no way the DVLA will accept his 'dream car' as an Eagle SS.
He would have been much better off plonking a Scooby or Alfa engine in the back of his Mexican 1300 as so many have done already and a decent suspension and upgraded brakes.
Anyway, now on the EOC register as FSS58 ready for the next upload, body only, now I just need to find out who drove off with it and what plans there may be for it, hopefully it wasn't bought just for it's screen, something akin to me as killing a Rino for its horns.
