VW Brake Switch

So, both of my VW brake switches appear to be bad. The front switch does nothing - always OPEN. The rear switch changes from ~100k ohm when "OPEN" to 0 ohm when CLOSED (brake pedal depressed). This is causing the brake lights to get a "trickle current" all the time and appear ON - but Low like Taillights.

Anyways...I'm going to install new switches - I figure I might as well replace both. Is there a "trick" to doing this so I don't have to bleed the whole damn brake system afterwards?

With the reservoir being higher in the system, removing the switches and installing new ones shouldn't allow air into the system. If anything you'll loose fluid when you remove the switches as it will drain the reservoir through that opening.

Just my guess
