Thanks David
Did a search on ebay and came up with one but it was expensive.

This is making me think that maybe I should look for other items (OEM) like sensors (crank, cam, emissions), coil, igniter, injectors, throttle body, MAF, etc. for future just in case needs. May never need them but I would have them if I did.
Watching some mechanics on Youtube, the aftermarket parts suppliers seem to have a high failure rate on their parts, and the mechanics in the videos recommend using only OEM parts

As always if I can help with something David you know how to contact me.
I did try to do a diving video to send you, but it was so bad (camera wouldn't focus right) that I deleted it. Don't have one of those fancy phones to do it with so I tried to do it with a camera that I've had for years. Came out terrible. wouldn't focus right on anything

That's what the kids are for ....LOL.....to get them to deal with the tech on such things (and use their phone).....My kids use to get me to do stuff when they were younger, now they are older I simply ask them to sort out tech stuff and save me the hassle of figurng it out ;)

For a moment, I thought "oh cool, Brett is a scuba diver too!", and a few seconds later I thought, "Oh, he probably meant to type driving." My wife worked as a diving videographer for years, so my brain didn't instantly recognize that the word didn't really belong here. :)

A lot of good spell check or AI was at catching that.

I did scuba dive at one time. Took courses to get certified and all that but as in so many cases life had other plans for me and I ended up here in a desert.

Nope, no AI or spell check involved. I really thought you were talking about a diving video. I worked as an instructor for many years have have a little over 2000 dives. However, I've done a grand total of two in the past 15 years now.

This might be helpful to other owners with Subaru engines.
Mine is a 1998 EJ25D and maybe this might help if your getting trouble codes. I didn't log the codes so I can't tell you the exact code I was getting but it had something to do with the transmission and the neutral position switch.

By grounding out the neutral position switch wire that seemed to solve that issue and there is a wire at the ECM that needs to be grounded if your using a manual transmission

This is the manual transmission wire that goes to ground

Just a quick update

After driving all summer with the car, I've had no trouble codes pop up after grounding these 2 circuits.

Driving in 100*f + temps I've had no overheating issues (after building the sealed intake duct) even with the AC on and the AC is working great. So those wondering what size radiator to use or if the AC unit I'm using will be sufficient to do the job, Both seem to be working fine.

Still haven't tested out the heater. Doesn't get really cold here

Edit
Cooling fan also seems to be adequate for keeping temps at bay
