Got babysitting duties for the rest of the week so not much will get done.
Also had to order more paint. Still have the canopy to paint.

Just a quick update

A cold front came in today and temps dropped below what the activator and reducer are rated for. Also high winds came with it.
So the canopy has been primered but paint will have to wait till this front passes. Not sure how long that will be

Once it all gets painted and reassembled I should be able to register it and put it back on the road. There are small things that still need to be done but for the most part it should be good to go.

I have to admit that your last update gave me mixed emotions. On the one hand I am very excited that your are on the threshold of being “done.” On the other hand I’m feeling a little depressed, like after a good movie has wrapped up.

You have to promise to keep tweaking it for…ever (as most owners do anyway.) 😄😄

I'm feeling good about it, maybe now I can start paying off the credit card.😄

Once I get it on the road I'll take a break before I address the small items that are left

Well according to the weather burau we're not going to have temps in the 80's (which the paint activator is labeled for) till next year.

But next week the temps will be in the 70's so I ordered an activator for those Temps, so maybe I'll get the car completely painted still this year.

We'll see how it goes

This car is a chick magnet.
She tested all the buttons and switches to make sure they operated correctly.

The horn and headlights got a thorough testing.

The activator and reducer rated for cooler temps came in today (Medium 65f-80f).

Looking at Saturday or Sunday to finish painting. We'll see if the weather cooperates.

Also been working on changing out the shift lever knob. If just replacing the knob it would be soooo easy, but retaining the reverse lock out is a bit of a challenge.
Not giving up yet

Still needs canopy seal installed, need to have new side windows made, back window installed and a few other items that I can't remember right now.
