Since its to cold outside to do any fiberglassing so I set my sights on stuff I've been putting off.
As seen in another post the heater works so I've started to work on the other half of the system (AC). I need to order parts for that.

I've also been playing around with building a spoiler for the front of the car.
This is just a buck/plug,

I don't think there are many still checking in. Keep fighting the good fight Brett. I still have one more to finish after I am done with #68. In the mean time I have been enjoying #114 since I got it back.

Beautiful work Brett. I love the front spoiler. Wish you would make add on accessories for the Sterling like side skirts and front spoiler. They would sell and could help in recovering some of the money you have put into this project.

Building those items wouldn't be to hard.
Problem is I've modified all those body panels and have nothing stock to work off of.

Sorry..

Right now I'm working on the AC system. Got the low pressure line plumbed in. Working on the mounts for the condenser and from there I'll get the high pressure line put in.
Then its just evac the system , check for leaks and then charge it.

Well The materials and fittings for installing the AC part of the system have come in.
Stared building the mounting brackets for the condenser. Once I get the condenser installed I'll start plumbing in the lines.

Now you'll have it done in no time.
I meant to ask, what is the ground clearance under the front chin spoiler?

That was my thinking also but life keeps throwing me curve balls.

I'm back babysitting grandkids again. Got a 8 month old granddaughter that needs watching.

I did manage to get some of the AC lines plumbed in this weekend though.

My car has about the same ground clearance, which is also similar to C5/C6 corvette. But I wonder if it's still too low because our cars have long front that might cause some issues on steep driveways.

Yes that has crossed my mind also.
If that is an issue I'll first see if approaching at an angle helps clear the angle break. If that doesn't help then maybe I'll go with a higher profile tire.
I've seen Lamborghini's approach steep angle breaks at an angle to clear them.

Hey Brett,
Anymore progress on your build. I was curious as what you used for a center console. the center tunnel is very narrow and I don't want to give up any space for the seats. I was looking at an S2000 Honda center console. The ebrake handle is off to the side. My thinking was to modify the VW handle with an offset to match into the slot in the console. It also has a separate glove box that fits between the seats. Your thoughts.

Just waiting on parts to finish the HVAC system. Should have it ready to charge up by maybe this weekend if everything goes as it should.

I did a search to what is involved. Is this what the lever looks like?

If it is you may have issues with the VW cables aligning up to the lever since the cable tubes are positioned for a center connection and not offset to one side.
Even if you were able to transition the cables to one side you then have to deal with getting around all the lines that are inside of the tunnel.
If you really want to offset the ebrake lever. The Mitsubishi Eclipse is offset but the connection point is at the center.

At one time I had this installed in my car but as with alot of ideas that I tried things changed and I ended up going with a foot operated ebrake.

I've tried several different ideas for consoles also. If you search by build for consoles they should popup.
There is one console/armrest that I found that bolts to the center hump with no major fabrication. Look for it in the interior threads

Got the granddaughter right now so I got to go. Let me know if you need anything else

If you were thinking of running the E Brake cables on the inside of the tunnel to a different location this is what the inside looks like.
Pictures don't show the shifting rod that goes down the middle of the tunnel.

Awesome! I just caught up on your thread on Euronova earlier today. Huge accomplishment with tons of annoying hurdles!
