it was posted by a youtube user named 'skerlingkitcars.' i'm guessing he might be a regular on this site.

any other opinions as to the usefulness of this particular column? the tilt & telescope definietly seem like big pluses.

thank you!

That Warren, the webmaster. His column is the same as mine - mid '80's or so. Earlier vette columns didn't have the little tab under the steering wheel for the telescopic portion. Beware... they're getting really expensive!

another alternative is the Camaro or Firebird column. I have a 90's Firebird column in mine. A consideration is how long the column is. Determine where you are going to be sitting in the car (how far back will your seat be) and measure the distance from you hands (in a comfortable driving position) to the steering linkage. If you are tall (6 ft or more) you might want a longer column. Or if you are not so tall and will be sitting closer to the front of the car, a Fiero column might be good.

Do you know what the length of that column would be? I used an ididit column for my dune buggy and I love it. It's very smooth and I can get them in any length or buy one of the 35" ones that are forever on sale through fleebay and extend it.
