Find a place to stay as soon as you get in, preferably before as the hotels book solid early. Bring several changes of clothes and be prepared for rainy and cold weather. It happens, and unfortunately we're due for a wet weekend. Other than that, can't wait to meet ya!

Looks Like I'll be there. Alone but still there.
Just had to bride the wife with a day free of the kiddies and a few into darkness tickets.

8 DAYS TO GO

Matt, can you still bring up your projector and computer/dvd player for the movies?

Mud, can you still bring your projection screen?

I've got a 14' vertical banner that will be installed next to the tent on the show field, so there'll be no doubt where we are :D. Dave from SSC will be having a cookout at least one night for everyone (most likely Saturday) and so far, fingers crossed, the weather looks like it might cooperate!

Room rented. Luggage located. Camera commandeered. Leaving in 6 days and about 6 1/2 hours. I'm stoked and ready for complete CARnage. :D

Ok - I have to let you guys know for those traveling: I-81 will be experiencing some heavy traffic in the Harrisburg area. While it may not affect Carlisle directly, the additional traffic delays in the area may. There was a large tractor-trailer fire on an overpass of I-81 yesterday in the middle of Harrisburg. It was enough to damage the bridge structure, so I-81 is closed both northbound and southbound in and around Harrisburg. Depending on where you're coming from, it may or may not affect you, just be aware that there may be delays due to traffic all this coming week.

OK guys only 1 more good weekend to complete the upgrades. I have a 14 hour day planned for Saturday and another 12 hour day for Monday. Sunday is all about the moms.
I am on 2nd shift now and will take a half day off on Monday. I still have to get front tires and exhaust done then.

Goddammit! Our hotel is east of this mess in Harrisburg. Time to see if I can book another hotel or cancel my trip entirely.

EDIT: Found a new hotel...closer, 1 less star rating and only 35% more money per night.

Sorry Rick I am not going to be able to make it to the show. This is just the way things go for me, I have been planning this trip since last year. My daughters college graduation is on Saturday and I started a new job last week with a pretty crazy schedule that includes working alot of weekends, I have to work Friday, Graduation on Saturday and work again on Sunday. Sorry about the projector and the late notice, my daughter just told me about the graduation ceremony and the job change was unexpected. I hope to be able to attend next year.

Yep, there's a bunch of used projectors on CL near me, the problem is I don't have a laptop and a set of speakers to play anything on. I'll have to check the local rental stores to see if anything is available..

i set up a movie night here, i use the dewalt shop radio for speakers. most projectors and even the laptop will have a aux(headphone) jack you can plug into and the dewalt shop radio has an aux plug in it.

the part that really worries me, how the heck do you not have a laptop??? maybe its just my generation, but after sitting at a desk all day for my job, i rather check my email before bed on a laptop, watching tv and drinking a beer.

:D Just never needed nor wanted one. I've got a high horsepower desktop and a 28" monitor I work with. I tried working with a buddies Dell laptop and just couldn't handle the smaller keypad and the finger mouse thing..
