Rear Window Trim

I have no idea where the best place is to post this so I'm putting it here

A while back I asked what members are doing about the rear window box to give it a cleaner look. (couldn't find that post)

Well here's my solution.

I guess this will have to wait.
Pictures won't load up. They get to 11% and stop loading

OK lets try this again

OEM fitting

Trimmed the window box back

Trimmed installed. I'm calling it a trim because the seal is questionable.

The only problem is it can't make the tight turns.

It doesn't take much to hold it down and I was thinking that a few drops of CA glue would hold it down

this is the trim

But I found this trim that states it can make tight turns so I ordered some. We'll see how well it works when it gets here. Same as the other trim but made with a different rubber

Got the other trim in today and I have the same issue with the corners.
I guess I'll have to add a little adhesive or sealer in the corners to hold it down. Other than that it works.
I wont permanently install it till I get the car painted
Looking at it you can add a sealer between the trim and the body to form a watertight seal.

Looking at this a little closer the lip of the trim doesn't apply much pressure to seal out water so applying a bead of silicone at that point all around would help keep any water from getting pass.
Of course adding some form of sealant at the lip would help also.
