The only way he can guarantee that price is to do a short production run of 10 or more. Single glass pulls will likely cost much more. At the moment, Fuzz only has a handful of people wanting the glass - he has to cover his costs for the run, and he is not marking anything up to make money on these. The cost is covering his expenditures for the molds and the production run.

Got the new Windshields X2 and they are Great!!!

Don’t hesitate to order these windshields-- I did and regret it. These windshields are so clear that they still look wet. I hesitated to see if the old molds would be found, I hesitated to see if the price would come down if more of us went in on a single run, I even hesitated to consider if modifying the sterling’s windshield would be more cost effective. -confused* “DON’T MAKE THESE MISTAKES”- Fuzz found a higher quality of manufacturing than the old windshields, he isn’t in it to make money, but truly did all the work (and I mean all the messy, worried, tedious work in getting the best result). I learned to trust him over e-mails and time. These windshields aren’t the only form of High quality. (This coming from a Combat Vet who knows good men)
I ordered 2 windshields so I would be sure to be able to have a backup for years to come. The company Fuzz uses made a single crate that withstood shipping across the country & are strong enough “still” to continue to protect the spare for years to come. If you have been waiting 20 years like me- or less- stop those worries and contact Fuzz @ fuzz148@verizon.net for further details.
I fully endorse Fuzz for the integrity, honesty, and commitment he gave me- & I’m confident he will give you as well. Salute!!! *rock on*

I also bought one of fuzz's windshields. All I can say is, it's a thing of beauty. Way better than the originals.

If you have an old Cimbria setting out in the back yard, barn, or garage and the only reason you parked it was because of a busted windshield, now is the time to put in a new one and put that bad boy back on the road.

Not sure of the shipping from point, but to ship to Conway, S.C. would be how much? Zip code 29527. I'm in a "top secret" deal to aquire a Cimbria SS, will need a windshield. From an old trusted forum member who wishes to remain anonamous for the time being. What is the payment set up??
Is a credit card ok? Thanks-Rick And no--I've not read every single post on this thread! My concern is , I may be too late to get one now!

O.K. just the posts-tried to contact Fuzz-no luck, some kind of glitz. If some one else could patch this over to Fuzz, please do so & I THANK YOU.

No worries Rick, the glass is still available as far as I know. If you want to PM me with your phone number, I'll route that to Fuzz and vice-versa so you guys can work out the details!

New Cimbria Windshields

Thank you MNICKELAWAY and KRUZER52 for your kind words. I appreciate your endorsements and I couldn't be happier seeing two good guys being able to get their rides completed because windshields are now available. 1/3RDOFF, my e-mail address is fuzz148@verizon.net. You may e-mail me directly or as LETTERMAN7 suggested, provide him with your phone number and he'll route it to me and then I can call you. I think shipping to your location is going to be less than $200. (I am guessing here, but I am fairly sure.)

Fuzz,

about how many more windshields do you have left before you order another batch, if you order another batch?

i have not seen my Cimbria yet, but when i bought it i was told the windshield would need to be replaced. i have a spare Sterling windshield and have read the posts about it being the same countour but bigger in length and width. so im not sure if i want to mess with that, or order a new one from you. would love it if someone wanted to just swap, lol.

sorry Fuzz i cant honestly answer right now. i will see the car the second week of June, at that point i will be able to determine if it needs a new windshield.

Okay, not a problem. Let me know when/if you need one. Hopefully you get the car and it does not need one. That would be awesome. Best of luck and keep us posted, especially with photos if you do end up with it. I can never get enough of looking at various Cimbria's. Thank you.

i do have the Cimbria already. i posted pics on here http://www.sterlingkitcars.com/memb...duce-yourself/930-brand-new-owner-kansas.html

i am just currently deployed to Afghanistan and finish my tour in 2 weeks. bought it from a kid that was on the site for a little bit. he claims the windshield is broke, but i cant see any damage in any photo that has been taken from the previous owner, the car hauler, or my roomie as it was unloaded.

this is her sitting at my house, full frontal

May not be a bad idea for your roommate just to take another look-see closer just to verify that the glass is intact. I remember the kid purchasing a Sterling windshield to replace that one, so there had to be a reason. If you've picked up that Sterling windshield along with the car, you might be able to sell it to help fund the new glass, assuming the car needs it.

And very hopefully the tornadoes stay away from your neck of the woods this week. It's been ugly in the midwest..

thats not a bad idea. i just emailed the roomie, he isnt much of a car guy so im not sure if he will be able to give me much of an opinion, but photos will tell. i wont expect pictures until the weekend though, the way he works.

also, what would be a good asking price for the sterling windshield? assuming it did get delivered with the car. i posed that question as well.

All he would have to do is simply look for obvious cracks and/or chips in the glass and take a photo of it if he can get the right angle. As for the Sterling glass; new glass is $800 plus shipping (roughly), so if yours is still in the crate, I'd start at $600 and go from there.

well it sounds like a hail storm came thru my town yesterday. not good news.

so my dad saw the car under the tarp and wanted to check it out, thinks he may want one as a mid life crisis or something, they get the front half of the car uncovered and see the hail decided to go ahead and break the windshield. now normally i would be furious but the previous owner told me it was going to need a replacement and the roomie couldnt find any damage, so i figure it was a chip or a small crack that could have been sealed by that one company "Safelite" i have done it in the past and it was great. that would have afforded me the time to save money up for the new windshield.

Fuzz expect an order from me for sure. however it will still be about a week as im still traveling and would like to settle down for a day or two before i start having parts shipped in.

Oh bummer. I was thinking about the car owners in the midwest this past week, hoping that everyone was safe from the tornadoes. Wasn't too worried about the cars.. pieces can be replaced. People can't! And my sister in law is in Kansas City... right in the heart of many of those storms.

yeah a tornado hit in Marysville which is one or two towns over from my home in Topeka. it gets pretty dicey sometime, and even a garage cant protect everything you own. i just try to park away from the trees and powerlines.

Yikes! I have mine outside right now as well; maybe I should move it inside. Usually I have it in the garage, but have it out right now so I could access the lawn mower, tractor, etc. easier. Maybe I should reconsider. *hmmm* Fuzz.
