Manifold help

Ok I have a 1600 dualport with a center mount carb. I really want to stay with the center mount carb for ease of access/tuning. My current carb set up is sitting too high. I want to get it lower for clearance and to reduce chance of hesitation. I've seen pictures on here of the same carb sitting lower (at least I think it's the same) but I can't figure out where to get them.

Here's my engine

Edit- ok I see it's a different carb with how the throttle linkage is on a different side

My engine. It clears with the low profile filter. Would you guys just leave it? Can I add carb heat to this carb? I'm just afraid to finish the rebuild get the engine in and have issues running it with this setup.

Don't overthink it Brian. Call Pierce and see if you can get just the heat riser tubes, or find a used generic center mount on Samba and cut the riser tubes off. Usually it's just one tube going from exhaust manifold to manifold. You'll be able to secure it to the intake manifold with a couple of worm clamps. Get the shorter air filter and run the setup.

Will do, I'm trying to order parts for my engine rebuild and was worrying about the end result.

Thanks Rick
