Been under the knife Wednesay and all good, got rid of the fungugal infection in the right sinus, yeasterday was NOT FUN, had to go and have the dressing removed from the sinus and cleaned up, having an endoscope, suction tube and forcepts up there at the same time hurt like hell, on a scale of 1 to 10, about 12. getting over it slowly with lots of nazal sprays, antibiotics etc and feet up and telly. I thought it was getting bettter but it's snott.

Must say the Spanish health service is great, very good doctors and of course FREE.

Hope to get back in the 'shed' Tuesday to continue with the armrest, fibre glass shape made but still a LONG way from anything Brett or David might make. I think using very old resin and pink stuff was a mistake and it is still a little tacky. but enough for a starting point as it is just a shell I can cut to shape to minimum clearences before beefing up and sanding smooth-ish before covering. came off of the platic packing tape really easy.

All the new battery leads fitted from battery though to alternator but battery (new) seems duff, fully charged all day but still only clicks solinoid on the starter even with the direct stert button in the engine bay. cheap batterys do not like being left unused, don't go there!.

Good to hear your doing ok Peter
We have the worst health service here in Las Vegas( I talk from experience) I have had broken bones misdiagnosed and they messed up the surgery on my wifes broken hand.
I think we get the beginners out of school. They practice here till they get it right and then move on.
Other doctors even said that the doctor that worked on my wifes hand messed up but they wouldn't testify against the doctor that worked on her.

Moving on
To bad we don't live closer. I would be happy to get together and share fiberglassing techniques.

Get better soon

Hmm... you think the fiberglass work might have started the doctor problem? I hope you get much better! Ahh to be young again and invincable again.

I think the problem with the sinus fungus stared at a stable where there is a huge amount of horse crap about. 32 horses and ponies crest over 20 buckets of crap a day- and I was very close to a lot of it doing repair work.
Much better now but still 'thick in the head' and bloody snot but better. out for first time today to get wife's Corsa 's annual test done.

Anyway, thanks for the well wishes guys, I'll be back.

One thing on my "win lottery" wish list is to visit you and some of the other guys. So be careful what you wish for. LOL

Back from the hospital check-up and now a 'mucus infection' so lots of douching and antibiotics etc for a week. All my 5 a day tablets etc plus douche bottle and medicines' for it and some cranberry tablets for the wife, $30. Cost of hospital treatment, $0, cost of consultations, $0. eat your heart out America. Only thing that cost a lot is dentists, I worked out that a simple extraction is $300 a hour. I wish I could charge that.
