Found these in a 1998 VW Passat

They would be an ideal bolt in option. Just run electrical to them and install a switch to them and your done.
Location would be up to the installer of course but they would be perfect for the canopy. They have a low profile and would fit in the side of the center section of the canopy with no issues. Just make the opening and snap them in.

I like those. I went with a mid-90's Ford Escort dome light, a bit bulkier but I have dome and map lights and it fit the middle of the canopy well and very bright with the custom LEDs.

I probably wont use those lights but they seemed like a easy install for someone wanting to install interior lights so I snagged them to post.

My map lights will be in the overhead console that I'm building. Thinking of putting a place in the console for speakers also. That's still in the thought stage.

I know we've discussed this privately Brett, but why not french them in so they sit flush? If they were mounted flush they wouldnt intrude into the cabin space which is especially limited around your head.

Should be a pretty straight forward job not involving much difficulty.

The overhead console isn't turning out as I had hoped and I an considering doing that with these lights.

Another item I found but didn't get was a toggle switch that had a overhead light logo on them. That would make a clean install. Thought about putting the switches in the center console.
I didn't get them because the logo was faded and I was going to look for a better set.

Found these in the yard today. They came out of a 03' Toyota Sedona. you would have to make your own mounting for them because the snap clasp is on the frame from where these came out of.

These are very compact. If you want dimensions let me know. You can also see that the button part is made at and angle to the body of the switch and there is a left and right side.

Found these online. $10 each, kinda pricey, but still kinda neat. I think it would easily fit the overhead.

only found one today. It was in the overhead console. It pays to look up once in a while. This one snaps into place

1990 Nissan 300ZX

You will need to cut an opening for it to fit flush and it snaps in. No screws



I also came across a rear view mirror with interior lights in it but the condition wasn't that good so I passed on it. I'll look for one in better condition. It was in a 2002 Tracker. Maybe I can find a picture of one on the web and post it
