How do you attach your rear bumpers?

I'm using some hardware store nuts and bolts, but hoping to get something that is more secure and looks a little less "Home Depot Special"...thoughts?

Bumper? Or tail light panel? All the panels I've seen use carriage bolts through the bodywork. That gives the smooth head presented to the outside and doesn't look so "kit-car-ish". You can get them in chrome, too. Both of my old cars used 3/8" bolts if I remember right, and just 2 to hold that panel on. Alternately, just fiberglass a block of wood behind the panel and screw in a dowel hanger (screw thread one end, bolt thread the other), then you can have a "fastenerless" rear panel.

Stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers. They are hidden so the looks didn't matter to me. If you wanted to go "fancier" you could just make up some mounting brackets. I did these for the front nose and the side pods but not for the rear.

pretty much the same approach I took on the sides and rear. Simple and easier especially at the sides as only need one arm in and a spanner as the bolt is held securely and had the benefit of spreading the load across the panel flange
