I did some scanning of the car build from the early days, and I honestly don't have a clue where I should post all these but here are some scans of just a few of the projects that have been done on this car with more to come, when I get more time; have you heard that before?

I have all the addresses of the companies that I have done business with over the years and one that I suggest everyone use is Euramtec and then go to accessories to find the swing out cup holders.....

I struggled a lot with mirrors for the car. Anybody need a set of cheesy mirrors? I have several sets that were experimental until I found some that could be redesigned, fabricated, and they look like the expensive European styled mirrors. They are actually towing mirrors cut down and painted. You can buy them from several companies including Speedway and Summit, but I found them for a lot less money AND free shipping at : Tow-N-Go Solutions - Towing Mirrors, towing mirrors and more towing mirrors CIPA ..... I added a huge convex lens to the passenger side mirror, and you will never ever have to guess again if a car is beside you when you change lanes. The mirrors stick out far enough to see beyond the rear fender flares... and yet they don't look like Alfalfa's ears. Some of you will understand that, and some of you won't.

I also have all the information about adding remote controls to open the canopy. I use linear actuators and that was a process but well worth the effort.

I also have a couple links to air conditioning sites but I have never felt the need.

My next project is to install a limiting circuit on the canopy for a one button push to open and close. The primary problem here is the extensive wiring I needed to do to get the remote control to work.

I also am going to install aircraft window vents in the side windows for fall and spring driving. My windows are velcroed on. I also have a set of rainy day windows that roll up and store in the car if you are on the road, and it starts to rain. This is done with the same material used in jeeps.

Rambled enough... check out the FLICKR account above and if you have never used FLICKR, look on the right side for the word slideshow and sit back. The Sterling pictures were added to the Super Beetle account so I didn't have to create a new account again. I have several. The Super Beetle WAS supposed to be my last build but was finished early and sold. I then inherited (free) a 1928 Chevy truck that I am currently working on.

I would rather be working on the Sterling.

Have a good one.

Unofun, has an all in one units for sale for the roof actuating system with a remote.

I haven't heard from him in awhile. But it might be worth shooting him a pm.
