Hi Guys, Nic Here....

I own CCC416. Bought her in 2005 and sorta messed around with her for 2 years. Then in 2 years later I got serious and removed the body and refurb'ed the chassis, removed the engine and trans and lowered the floor pans 5". I have, but have not installed yet, full disc brakes.

I've been working on the interior of the car for a year now. I have designed a totally custom dash and am working on that now. It will have 5 VDO gauges, reverse monitor, head unit, 2 air round air vents and a 12 volt power port. 3 of the VDOs are installed in a gauge pod that sits on top of the steering column, which is from a 96 Firebird. There will also be a full length center console that might have some storage in it under the rear window, between the seats... haven't decided yet. I have Miata seats that are getting custom upholstery. Linear acutator are installed and working via remote control.

The body wont get too much customization except for the rear end. I am installing full function LED tail lights in the upper section of the body, not the lower panel. That is being filled in flat and the license plate will reside there in the center. Once all the body work is done I'm thinking a nice modern VW Silver for paint.

So... wanna see some pictures? First, how she looked several years before I got her.

I do most of my posting on Euro-Nova so don't be surprised if this doesn't get updated often. You can find my build log under Your Cars - Nic's Sterling CCC416 .
See you 'round the forums.

Hi Nic. *hi-ya*

Very nice to have you on board. I have absolutely loved following your progress on Euro-Nova. You're doing some exceptionally nice custom work that, without sounding too greeting-card-ish, is inspirational to the rest of us. *thumbs up*

Can I tell you a secret? Scroll up a bit. Look at your top photo of your car. Turn it around. Close the top. Color it blue. Now look a little more closely at the header to this website. You're famous! *rock on*

Those old photos of your car (that were circulated around the web from before you bought it) are some of the cleanest, well-lighted pics of Sterlings around. I just needed it to be blue. Fortunately, Photoshop and I are old buddies. ;)

We'll follow your progress on Euro-Nova. Stop in and say 'hi' to us here, too, every once in a while.

Hey Nic, one other request: Even if you just cut and paste the very nice intro you just wrote here... ...when you get a chance, can you add your car to the Owner's Car Showcase section, too? It won't take long. And it gives some really unique searching abilities that will help all of us compare and contrast projects over time. C'mon. Humor us. You know you want to. ;) And it'll give me justification for having spent about a billion hours custom-coding a showcase section rather than going to bed at normal hours and cuddling with my girfriend. *laugh* and *whaah*
