Headrest and Console

My Sebring only has the traditional fiberglass seats and no headrest. With the laid back seating position I'd love to have a headrest. Was wondering what people were using for these and for a center console. Right now I just have a shift boot and 10 inches of carpeting. Something there would definitely add some real car look and feel.

93-99 VW Jetta center console I think would be the closest thing that will fit with little effort, however you will have to be a little creative as to how to bolt it down. It has an opening for the brake handle but I don't remember if the opening will need to be modified for the Sebring brake handle.
It also has a cup holder in the back section.

As for the head rest find a suitable headrest from a donor car and bend and adjust(if needed) the posts to fit your seat and attach it to the rear of your seat.(there are all kinds of ways to attach it so I'll leave that up to you)

Edit:

This is the forward section of the console. Depending on your abilities you may be able to use parts if it

Your were really vague on the details of what you were looking for on the head rest.

Maybe with more details and a picture of what you have to work with(seat)and what you want members here can help more on finding something that will work for you.

I didn't know if someone had possibly put in a seat from a production car, or perhaps attached a headrest to the wall behind the seat next to the rear window, or as you said a bolt on. All I really know is I need a headrest. The laid back seating position is good for me until my neck is at 45 degrees for too long to look straight.

To my knowledge there are no production car seats that will mount right in without some modifications.

Modifications range from frame size adjustments to seat cushion adjustments.

I've spent a lot of time in the salvage yards looking for something that will fit with the least amount of effort.

The seats I ended up with are out of a C4 corvette but I had to make some changes. They use the stock seat cushions with no changes to them

There are numerous ways to add a headrest to your seats. Post a picture of the seats.

I think Roger(ratrog) has made molds for seats. I don't remember if they had headrests and Rick(Letterman7) bought(along with another person) the rights to the sterling company, he might have molds for seats with head support or offer something

I have used 2 different seats in my cars. The latest is the original Cimbria seat which has its own headrest and a seat I made in 2 pieces from a 914 also with a headrest.

I have posted info before about some aftermarket seats that appear to be the right size for our cars.

Check these out - https://shop4seats.com/van-seats/jump-seats/jump-seats/jump-seat.html

Price is very reasonable considering anything custom would cost much more.

Probably a bit rare in US but my first (and BEST) seats were from the Suzuki carry micro van, high back, reclining and narrow, only work needed apart from custom covers, as adapting standard runners to the usually fixed mounting. CHEAR too. Unless you are midget, do not look at the Lotus 7 / Chatham seats, way too small., I have a pair going cheap but postage would be stupid.
