Fuel Sending Unit

I don't have one to test fit but was curious if the sending unit can be replaced without dropping the fuel tank? It like it might can squeeze in with the rear window/tunnel out but would be a tight/ lucky fit.

Yes, in most cases it can be replaced while the tank is in place. Later model fuel tanks and Bus tanks had the sender in another, more awkward position, but 90% of the tanks used for these cars the sender is just under the window and slightly under the rear deck. Removing the screws is the hardest part!

That's good news. I can relax instead of frantically searching for a sending unit for the stock gauge set. *thumbs up*
