Depending on price, Id be game for most of that list I made...*thumbs up*
Plus, it might help with keeping the forum going. Charity is a great thing, however, income keep the garage warm.

Can't go wrong with a cool shirt and key fob. Heck even a polo shirt so I can wear it to work!

If a store is a pain maybe a group buy or is there an alternative to cafepress they seem pricey.

I don't think Warren even remotely considered it because a) he doesn't have time for marketing b) anything that is sold technically needs a tax revenue number and c) just never occurred that anyone would want something to do with the forum. I've got club stuff on CafePress, I'm sure we could come up with something for here if there was enough call for it.

I do not know the particulars, but I worked for a non-profit organization a couple of years ago. Could the proceeds be turned around and put back into the site, like a non-profit would? Would that simplify things?

To qualify as a non-profit in PA requires reams of paperwork, be registered as a legal incorporated entity, have a full board with meetings that can be verified by the state (meeting minutes), etc.

Now.. I've had my CafePress thing going for years and don't make a dime - any profits get eaten up by CF to keep the 'stores' open. That would be the best option at this point (or sites similar to CF if someone has a preference).

would this forum constitute a meeting of the board members? :D

Now we need a graphic artist to make a few graphics for us to slap on stuff.

Id like to see the two graphics I posted earlier, just cleaned up and isolated from the brown background.

*laugh* Shame there isn't a graphics/sign guy on the site here... :D

I've got a call into Warren to see if he has the artwork squirrelled away somewhere from the site. From that I can start throwing in ideas for folks to make a vote from.

I found this somewhere, warren was this yours? Anyway I apologize in advance if it wasn't to be used like this. There are a bunch of cool options I was thinking of having a shirt mad with the old sterling logo on the front and an old sterling ad or pic on the back.

This would make a nice back to a t-shirt.
Something well enough designed, that it would act as advertising, as much as look good.

Thanks!

Thanks for deciding to keep things as is. I might even be more active myself. My Sterling has been just sitting in my garage for years. Recently I titled it as an "antique". In Virginia this gives two benefits: I no longer need yearly safety inspections and I no longer have to pay the yearly property tax. So, I might actually start driving it again.
