I like how Rick on FB is trying to inform people that parts are still available for the car but its a shame that because of the layout of the site, that info will be lost with in a week or two and next to impossible to find if someone needs it. And any new members will never know it existed.
It makes no sense to me why people flock to a site like that. Any good info like that is only good for a couple of days before it is lost

Help me to understand this.
99% of the questions asked on FB can be easily found here or on the Euro site. Yet they continue to ask the same questions time after time on FB. Almost every question has been covered here.
Even their rocket scientist ideas have been covered here. and which ones worked and which ones failed.
I can't tell you how many people have asked about where to get windshields or body parts. Countless times Rick has told them but they keep asking.

If its not on FB does that mean the answers to their questions do not exist anywhere else?? Can't anyone do a search anymore.

I'm loosing all hope in people.

FB strikes me as a fairly good way to make general announcements and random commentary. But it is absolutely abysmal as a “technical forum.” It’s not organized or categorized, and as soon as something falls off the bottom of the page it’s out-of-site out-of-mind pretty much forever. And yes, the most maddening thing is that people ask the same questions over and over without even attempting to search the knowledge base. I get it (kind of) — It’s the easy thing to do. I just wish more enthusiasts would use any of the established forums.

I guess FB helps to foster a certain amount of enthusiasm for the breed. But yeah, I don’t totally get it.

I was on the FB site trying to find that owner's manual for the sebring to help roger but since I'm not a member I could only go so far on the site before it asked for a member and password.

What I found amazing was so many people started with a build and said they would post the progress and after a couple of post you never heard from them again.
One guy was going to put an AC system in his car. He pulled it out of a car and had it laying all out and said that he could make it work, but after that he never posted again

Kind of sad how easy people give up if the difficulty level starts to climb.
Instead of looking for a solution they just give up. And then the car just sits collecting dust
