Dual Zoomies

Are the high dual zooms too tall for the rear valence? According to an old post I believe the low ones fit just under. Thanks. :)

Yes. You can cut relief holes if you really want them. I had low zoomies on my first car. Perfect fit and look.

Thanks letterman! I plan to change the tips anyway so if the highs are just barely too tall they may work out better as I hope to have the tips right at the rear valence level... similar to my crude drawing.

Those little molded areas are/were for "factory" pipes back in the day. They were crude at best, basically a VW muffler held sideways with two outlets. But yeah, Zoomies are cheap metal anyway - see how they fit and you could probably bend the pipe portions down a little if needed.

Vpogv, I really love your rear valance and taillights. I wanted to write that the other day and forgot to. It's very simple, clean, and proportional. Nicely done. (y):)

Just for clarity/out of curiosity, is the black car a mock-up you had done/photoshopped or is that someone else's car? I originally wasn't sure whether that was your target or your final.

Ahhh. Got it! Yeah, that's fascinating and it reminds me of Sterling front bumper/air dam mock up I did in Photoshop. I had myself convinced that the dimensions of the actual piece were being accurately represented but reality had surprises for me. I had estimated a believable width on the mock-up but apparently the height got squished while manipulating it in Photoshop. The image looked great! The actual bumper wanted to extend down into the ground about 2 inches. Ah well. Win a few...

Yeah, it looks like the lights were just a little wider in the mock-up. Proportionality is just a little different. Ha. Fascinating.

I like the slots/vents in the mock-up. Do you think you go that way or probably not?

Hah, oh I've been there with dimensions. I save the precise stuff to move 3d/ rendering than photoshop.

The slots will probably not make this version. I called the rear done until this thing drives.
