Dash Storage Compartment

This came out of a 1990 Acura Legend. Its recessed in the top of the dash. Might be of some use to a few of you. Its got a low profile so it wouldn't take up much space.

thats pretty cool. are you selling it or just showing it off?

Never thought about selling it. It was just a for your info post. Kind of figured if people were interested in it they would go to their local salvage yard and get one

I thought it would be cool to put it in the dash that I'm building but after getting the dash built it wasn't going to fit the way I was hoping, so with that being said I have no use for it. You interested in buying it??

Cool, but how the heck would you reach it?*idea didn't work*
This is the location of where it came from out of the Acura. I was thinking of doing the same with it to the dash that I'm building but it didn't pan out that way

Be kind of neat to incorporate into a center console of some sort.

Now, your junkyards seem to be more 'user friendly' than ours - the nearest to me is near Philadelphia, and you aren't allowed to casually stroll through. You must have a part in mind before you show up. So... if you happen to be in your yards and find a 2014 MDX with the new LED headlights intact... I might be interested in those!

im far from working on the dash in my Cimbria. however if you still have it when i do, then i might be interested in it. it looks like it would be a great addition and perfect for a small compartment for insurance paperwork.

Any idea of the width? (in MM would be good). as I have the same space on Ukhozi's dash.

If nothing else, it will help the dash look more 'production' as most cars have some sort of top dash storage facility these days.

That's great, programed into my BAD system (same as CAD but using Brain) *laugh*
Get my DIY store paper tape measure out and see if it will fit, then I just need to find one here *oh my*

Brett,
Love this idea! Going to chase one down when I'm in the salvage yard looking for seats! I'm a big supporter of the second amendment (if you know what I mean) and the car is in desperate need of storage!*laugh*
