Carbon Fiber Wrap

Has anyone done or tried to wrap parts or sections of their car with this product? I was thinking of the hood, canopy, rear louvers, and taillight assembly. Might even think of having the whole body done. Any thoughts?

Apparently the CF wrap, even the 3D stuff with air channels I used, is a pig to use, a lot thicker than normal wrap, it really is a two man job and doesn't like going into recesses like scoops, vents and handles. Even around the hazard switch on my steering cowl it refused to stay put so I ended up glueing it but of course that melted it. *very frustrated*

When it came to the bonnet (hood) with the four 'louvres' in I gave up and left that area plain, on the boot (trunk) I just did the centre part.

I want to do the mirrors too but,,,,,

Phil, one of the Nova guys has done a great job of a 'Gulf Oil' wrap so it can be done but in sections.

Phill's Nova Project finally begins - Page 19

I looked into it a while back. Was in the 3500 to 4000 dollar range. I decided i can buy a lot of paint for that amount of money. The guy who looked at it said it would be a bear of a job to do.

For mirrors and intricate parts I would consider hydro dipping. Its even a diy project if so inclined.
