WOW, that stuff aint cheap. $28.00 for 3oz? I don't think 3oz is going to get you very far.

We recently put some bamboo down at the house and was sold something called Bostik Best. It's SUPER thick and sticky and when it cures, it really holds. And it's about $6.00 for a standard calk tube size. I was thinking that might be a good alternative. I'll have to pick more up and do a test.

You have to keep in mind the application differences though While it might work the caulk might not like the temperature changes outside compared to the fairly static inside environment.

I need some of it for a mold repair anyway but is is expensive. I liked what Brett had done but we have not heard of any long term results yet. I am still a couple months away for installing mine and I am still looking at any options. Maybe Brett could leave the piece out in the sun a couple of days and do the stress test with it hot.
This stuff is supposed to hold up in high heat 350+ for the molds.

Two years and still holding.

Had to replace the tape with wire that was holding the hammer to the vise grip because the temps melted the glue in the tape

:) I like your thinking Brett. I'd have to do something like that around the back of the shop, where the wife wouldn't see a hammer just hanging off the fence. Stuff like that raises questions here... *laugh*

Now I gotta go through all the pages again to see what you used for the adhesive....

Here's the stuff Brett got: CLICK ME!

To summarize it's just a 3oz tube made by GC Electronics MFG PN: 10-150. I'm sold on it. Probably will add a few SS screws simply to assist with holding the gasket while it sets.

You were already sold out but I am interested if you have extra.

Once I get the new seal from islandman(David), I have 2 sets of seals that were purchased from this group buy that I will sell. Still in the box, never used(just some info if you can't get one from David)

Hey guys,
the UK crowd is ordering new replacement seals for the Nova/Sterling canopies. Should fit the Sebrings as well - if you need a new seal, please let me know as I would have to get the orders into Euro-Nova soon. You can also contact the webmaster there, Dan, at Dan*at*euro-nova.co.uk

Prices so far are holding at $77 USD, plus whatever the shipping would be from the UK. Not a bad deal for new OEM style seals!

I have 2 rolls of this which i think is enough for 2 cars in the for sale section.

Good news: We have the molds for those pieces you need. Parts of that size have become a little pricey to make as well as to ship, but yes, replacement parts exist. I’ll try to get you some specifics through that email you provided.
