*thumbs up* Yep, saw that. I wonder where the "delivery depot" actually is? I don't want to assume it's New York, but probably is. Still have to clear customs and get routed, but should be here in the next few days!

*rock on* Actually, just showed up on my doorstep! The box looked like it had been used as a football all the way overseas, but the seals are undamaged. Give me a few days to re-wrap some of them into a tidy package and I'll start getting them out to those who ordered. I'll email or PM everyone to let you know it's been shipped.

Ok guys, the seals went out USPS today to everyone. Went out Priority, so everyone should see theirs within a couple days or so. Total shipping costs for everyone came out to roughly $20 each (person) for the overseas, plus your shipping from here. So.. for those guys that ordered one seal, your total shipping comes to $33 in round numbers. For the fellows that ordered two or more, your total came in at $37 in round numbers. I will send out individual PM's to everyone who ordered just for redundancy.

Thank you!

Thanks for taking care of the shipping Rick. I think Nic said he would cover everyone's shipping... :)

:D

Still trying to find the right adhesive. I've got a couple "experiments" going at the moment. If one pans out I'll let everyone know.

Experiments with adhesive have been hit and miss, mostly with miss. I've had the most luck with sanding the pad on the seal and sanding the fiberglass (both with 120 grit), then using that 3M windshield urethane as the adhesive. It bonded pretty good, but I was able to peel it away from the fiberglass with some effort. This was only on a small test piece on a scrap piece of fg, though. I'll keep trying!

I have a sample of the adhesive from the manufacturer but as yet have had no time to test it. Will hopefully be able to get to that shortly.

Just to add here guys,
I purposely ordered a little extra in case I made any mistakes.

I have here:
1 whole 7m length of seal
And
2 seals in pieces, these are 2 or 3 pieces of seal that make up the entire 7m, I believe there is a little more than 7m in total for the ones that are in pieces.

Could do with shifting these if anyone wants a second/spare?

Same cost as before.

Cheers
Dan

I gave one of my seals away to Brian and my other won't be on the car for a while. That adhesive looks like it would do the trick, though. If you don't want to order any I'll order some and try it on some other silicone seals I have laying about.

There's a company here in town that carries it and they have it in stock so I'll pick up a tube or two and test it out. The cost is only $4.00 a tube so its no biggie.

OK here's the short version of what happen.

First off this place is located in a part of town that I haven't been to in 30 years. Last time I was in that part of town I was on a dirtbike and there was nothing but desert for miles.

This place does nothing but internet orders. It doesn't carry the stuff. So I placed an order while I was there and the stuff should be here in three days.

*laugh* Sorry but that's funny. I can only imagine how frustrated I would have been if I were in your shoes but I suppose 3-days to get across down isn't too long...
