Cabin Space

I would like to know what is the cabin measurement in different car variants and different drop floor setups:
1. Lowest point of the floor pan to the inside of the roof.
2. Floor pan under pedals to bottom of windshield or bottom of dashboard (whichever is easier to measure)
3. Cabin width at the shoulders
4. Width at the seats
I believe compiling this data would be a good resource to plan on what type of car variant or mod is suitable for a particular driver size. And which setup provides most "comfort".

I like the idea. I wonder how best we could standardize the measurements. Some of the most accurate measurement would come with the seats out which is something that most owners probably don’t wanna fuss with. It would be a very interesting collection of data.

I’ll try to grab some measurements off a few of mine sometime. Each is buried pretty badly under garage clutter, I’m embarrassed to admit. I stored three cars in a two-car garage which makes conventional and gull-wing doors unhappy.

My Cimbria SS has the following measurements:
1. Floor pan to the inside of the roof: 34"
2. Floor pan to bottom of windshield: 24"
3. Cabin width at the shoulders: 52"
4. Width at the seat: 19.5" at front and 21" at the back

I don't think any info I could give would help since I'm not using the stock dash and seats and the lowered pan at the seats wasn't done per the plans. Finding seats that fit seems to be a major hurtle.

One variable I've thought about is dropped floor pans.
The assembly manual has that at a 4 inch drop but if the car is lowered, depending on how much it is lowered there may not be enough ground clearance for a 4 inch drop.
So before dropping the floor pan make sure you'll have sufficient ground clearance at that point. (so some outside measurements should be considered at as well as inside measurements before chopping things up)

The main point is not just to capture the standard configuration but also modified/custom to show what can be achieved on these platforms in terms of comfort improvement.

The 4" drop pan should have no impact on the ground clearance since at least on Cimbria, that is the exact measurement of how low the factory side skirts are. I have a 4" drop, and it's exactly in line with the bottom of the side skirts. With the car lowered to my preferred height, the ground clearance is at 5.5", which is similar to other sports cars.

On the new Sterling prototype, I’m shooting for a 4” drop and a total ground clearance of about 5.5”, pretty much like you’re describing on the SS.

The new C7 corvette is at 5" and the new Toyota Supra is at 4.4", so based on that information having a 5.5" ground clearance is pretty good.
