Well let's see? First off all responses are appreciated, REALLY! Some where in my library I have an original Mid-Engineering, Inc. catalogue, they did super work. Cimbria on Fiero frame? I certainly do understand the problems of chopping up a fiber glass car to fit on a bastard frame. No the V W chassis is not with it. I built a hand crafted trike in 83/84? which is waiting on a new drive train(previous post?). So I'm a little hesitant to discard this kit car. Just as with my fiber glass 55 T=Bird kit car, it too will need to be built from the ground up(see in another post). Many yrs. ago I re-did a 53 GMC truck, IFS, open rear end, V-8, 4 spd, electric wipers, etc. Just may be I enjoy a challenge, I guess just my foolishness. I guess I could have just written--Thanks, not ready to give up on Cimbria. And to be honest, my wife doesn't always see the stop sign @ the end, nor even the path going there. Not being ugly towards anyone, just my reply .
I plan to delete the gull wing openings & do as Ford did w/GT40 doors, rebuild roof as one piece & steel tube supports embedded. Do not want to do away w/Sterling/Cimbria design feature but make the doors/roof more sturdy & keep the actual door design intact, just to keep it different from everyday Hondas & toyota. I'm sure someone has already done this. Sorta like putting a T-top kit in a fiero, got one, can do it, etc.
Price on windshield/shipping, etc. PLEASE. THANKS. Rick
