  1. Correct way to do brakes and line sizes

Is there an opinion on the best way to run brake lines? I am running 4 wheel disk brakes. The prior owner had drums all the way around and these brake lines. As you can see they are pretty much straight with limited bends. Is this a good idea, or is it better to run them straight and have...

So finally put the engine in today. Its a 1776 out of my 1970 Ghia. I had to change the nose cone out and instead of buying a new gasket I figured I could use the old one. Nope, leaked. So I figured I could make one out of gasket-in-a-tube. Nope, leaked. So finally broke down and bought 2...

Here is why its a donor car. Not the prior owner but the one before that I'm guessing. The entire front passenger fender has been replaced. Not welded professionally mind you, but the original section cut into tabs and then riveted to the new fender. Then all ridges filled in with bondo...

Donor car Got the donor car in finally for parts for the sterling. 1970 Karmann Ghia. It has a 1776 that I'm going to use. It has the single carb on but I have a set of dual 40's that came with it. Not sure if I'll use them for this or not. The car runs great. I plan on using the...

Seating My seats are from an Aquila. I sold the body and kept the seats for the Sterling. 4inch drop pans with seats mounted flush in the pans.

Mounting Seats I got foam paper from Walmart yesterday. Cut it to fit my drop pans and then mounted the seats. I put the foam paper in the drop pan. Then rearranged the seat and pressed down on the seat to puncture the foam paper. It worked great for only $2.97.

So I put the rear and front ends on. Now I just need to fill the cracks in. Now here's a question. I looked at my suspension and I can't move it anymore to get clearance. Someone mentioned here a while ago that my shocks were to big. I took them off and lowered the car on the wheels and...

  11. Tires do not fit

I didn't think about moving the arms. The original owner of the pan was building a Volksrod and had an 8in beam extender on it. He probably lifted it to get the front a little highers. I will try moving the arms this weekend and see what happens. If by swinging them I might be able to get a...
  12. Tires do not fit

Here is a question. Do you think maybe I've got the wrong type of ball-joint front end on. Do they make one with longer arms. Here the body has no room to move forward. Here is two pictures of the suspension. Here is the rear with the side pod mocked up. I'm going to mock up the rear on...
  13. Tires do not fit

I have 15x8 rims on my front. I originally mocked up 235x60x15 and the looked like they would be ok. After changing the brakes to disk they do not fit. There is two fingers difference between the tire and the nose. So my question is do I go down to 225 or 215 or 205. I've looked and Cooper...

Here is the glass. It sits about 1/2 inch all the way around outside the opening. Looking at the body closely I can see where there is an indentation all the way around the opening that fits the glass perfectly. It looks like someone filled it it. you can of kind of see the original...

Got headlight covers. I didn't realize they were bigger than the openings so I'm going to have to shave the body to make them fit. The old warped ones I took off fit within the openings so they must have been custom. I like the bigger glass though I so look forward to mounting them differently...

Scoops Not bad construction. The top body scopes I give a 9.5. The fit nicely on the body mocked up. The bottom scoops, I give a 7. The construction is great but you can see the different in the lengths. So the question is do I send them back or trim the long on to fit. Thoughts?
